I bought this as a spare battery for my new Canon digital camera. The battery costs a fraction of what the store where I bought the camera wanted to charge me for an extra battery. I've been using it, along with the original battery, for about a month now. The battery life seems good and it fits the charger and camera perfectly. The only complaint, a very small one, is that that battery is very slightly thinner than Canon's so the end cap, to protect the contacts, is loose and falls off.
